The daily Davenport, IA, to Kansas City, MO, freight train pulls into the siding at Cotter for a long wait. They will wait a couple hours for a Muscatine Coal train just about to leave Rutledge. This train normally goes to work at noon at Nahant, and does the local work to KC.
