| On my first visit to the Powder River Basin, this was one of the first trains I came across: A BNSF load having just entered the mainline at NACCO Jct. making a run for Logan Hill at sunrise on a frigid winter morning. Within a few years that blank patch of subballast on the right would become the fourth main track in one of the highest-volume stretches of heavy-haul railroading in the world. |
