Luxury safari train operator Rovos Rail has purchased a number of ex- South African Railways (SAR) class 5E1 Bo-Bo electrics for use on their trains out of Pretoria. Still wearing faded Spoornet orange livery, two of the 5E1's sit in the yard at Capital Park depot on a sunny winter morning. Alongside are two ex- SAR class 25NC 4-8-4's, awaiting overhaul.
