Here is another image in the Canadian Pacific Slocan barge series. In this view of the tug Iris G and barge you can see how they arrange the load. In the foreground is the remains of the passenger stern wheeler dock. The steamboat service ended in 1956. I believe the boat was called 'Slocan' which is also the name of the lake on which it sailed. This was part of an extensive boat and train transportation system which connected most of the interior lakes in the mountains of British Columbia.
