White Pass & Yukon Train 2, consisting of containers, piggyback private vehicles and no-two-alike passenger cars, leaves Whitehorse, Yukon en route Skagway, Alaska on Sept. 2, 1978. Up ahead are 3 of 11 special-built GE shovel-nose units for WP&Y beginning in 1954; the short diesels in the 90 and 100 series have 6-wheel trucks.
