Southern Pacific SD9 No. 4426 leads a westbound train through Tunnel 2 on Tehachapi Pass above Caliente, California, on March 1, 1988. SP crews and fans fondly called SD9s “Cadillacs.” Trailing 4426 are a SD40T-2 Tunnel Motor and a SD45.
