    Remarks & Notes
The Santa Fe San Jac Local, with ATSF 2829, ATSF 2900, and ATSF 2952, has put both wheels of their caboose, Santa Fe 999249, on the ground in Colton, CA. The location is just north (railroad east) of the Colton crossing with the Southern Pacific and the Interstate 10 freeway, across from the old depot. Fortunately, the derailment didn't block the busy Santa Fe - Union Pacific main line into San Bernadino.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
