| Reading & Northern SD38 #2000 leads a short local through the station area at Jim Thorpe enroute back to Tamaqua. The Lehigh Gorge Scenic tourist train has just departed on one of its many round trips out of Jim Thorpe allowing this local to pass through the station after working at Packerton. This local will pick up a handful of empty covered hoppers enroute back to Tamaqua. Later in the evening these cars along with other outbound NS traffic from the R&N's various branches will be interchanged to the NS in Reading. |
