The San Luis Central Railroad is a potato and agricultural chemical hauler operating between Monte Vista and Center, Colorado, a distance of 13 miles. The railroad is located in the fertile San Luis Valley of southern Colorado. In this scene, the local is trudging along at 10 mph as it heads north to Center behind EMD SW8 #70 on May 24, 2007. Those are the San Juan Mountains in the distance.
