Formerly known by its old CP number of 739, the Quebec-Gatineau's triweekly freight on the Lachute Sub rolls above the Rouge River on its way west.
The train symbol, STGA (Ste-Thérèse - Gatineau) - a product of Genesee & Wyoming's switch to origin-destination-based designations - is a bit of a misnomer, as the train doesn't go all the way to Gatineau anymore, at least not since the closure of the large Bowater paper mill that once provided a significant chunk of the line's traffic. Instead, it'll go as far as Thurso, meet up with a local switcher that spent the day collecting cars from the line's three remaining customers - paper mills in Thurso and Masson, and a sodium chlorate plant in Buckinham - and turn back. On some days, the meet will instead happen in the siding at Marelan.
