A pair of General Electric 125 ton, 3000 Volt 'Magna Motors' lead a 90 car train of copper ore empties bound for the Bingham Canyon Copper Mine in the Oquirrh Mountains. Built in 1947, the boxy GEs made easy work of Kennecott's 16 mile CTC equipped ore haulage line. By December of '78, the 'Magna Motors' were replaced by a small fleet of EMD SD40-2's.
