Amtrak’s California Zephyr is westbound in the Rio Grande’s Tunnel District east of Crescent, Colorado, on July 16, 1990. The train is passing through Tunnel 14, with the locomotives about to enter Tunnel 15 and the rear of the train is still in Tunnel 13.
