| On a brisk winter morning in Davis, California, Union Pacific 1982 pushes an intermodal train east along the Cal-P corridor. On this section of the line, the tracks pass right through a wildlife refuge and flood protection zone where birds can be seen at all times of the day. Soon the rain and snow will force flood officials to open the weir (large shallow river which helps protect Sacramento from flooding) and the land around this area will be underwater. |
