| Converted Royal Scot 4-6-0 No 46106 Gordon Highlander approaches Diggle Junction with a Liverpool to Newcastle express. The train has just left Butterhouse tunnel on the long closed Micklehurst loop. This was the only member of its class to be fitted with British Railways standard type smoke deflerctors in its later years. Another gem taken by the late Kenneth Field on 6 x 9 film (120 size). |
