A westbound Conrail freight emerges from the old Allegheny Tunnel at Gallitzin, Pennsylvania, on October 23, 1988. In 2005, this tunnel was enlarged to clear double stacks and double-tracked, and the adjoining Gallitzin Tunnel was abandoned, changing the track arrangement in the area.
