Among Joshua trees, UP 828 West has just crested Cima Hill, Calif. after climbing up from Las Vegas, Nev.  Oct. 13, 1974.   A GP30 leads two DD35B's as they will drop down to Kelso and on to Daggett where they'll get on AT&SF tracks over Cajon Pass.
