| Hard to tell who this train belongs to. The pair of Chessie units is on a Westbound D&H empty grain train running on trackage rights on Conrails Southern Tier. The blade on the 342 Westbound semaphore hasn't started dropping yet as the train literally flies past. I remember the track speed being about 45mph at the time, but this guy was really moving and I was only able to get one more grab shot of the train, and that was 10 miles further up the line after doing some "heroic" driving. Normally it would not take much effort to get ahead of a train for another photo. |
