GSC Floating Bolster 3 Truck The FB-3 truck was created by two casting foundries, General Steel Castings Corporation (GSC) and Adirondack Steel Castings for use on GE six axle locomotives. With a traction motor arrangement similar to the EMD Flexicoil truck, the FB-3 had a wheelbase of 13’ 7” just like the EMD Flexicoil. This truck started making an appearance under GE models in 1966 and provided support for the Phase II U28C through Dash 8 model lines until it was replaced by the Dofasco Hi-AD truck in 1993. This version of the GSC FB-3 was cast by Rockwell International who bought GSC years earlier.
