At the end of a hot August day in '88, Union Pacific's Cache Valley Local sets out an empty CNW box car on the Del Monte Spur in Smithfield, Utah. The industry served here manufactured metal cans for vegetable and fruit packing plants. The company has since moved to shipping by trucks and the photogenic red barn has been demolished.
