| After "racing" Union Pacific 8444 uphill in Cajon Pass, Southern Pacific 4449 has come to a stop between ATSF tunnel 2 and Hiland due to an overheated bearing. Train crew members are checking out the situation while a TV news helicopter circles overhead. After a long delay, the train proceeded up Cajon Pass and continued on to Palmdale. |
