"We're on the ground..." It was not a good morning for NS along the Lehigh Line in New Jersey. While driving to Manville to catch 64J I heard the crew reporting the bad news over the radio. Seen here is the aftermath of 64J picking the switch at the west end of the Royce Running Track, moments after it occurred. The lead truck of 9405 is clearly on the ground, and the crew reported the rear axle of the trailing unit also off the rails. Thanks to the hard work of those called to the scene, the line was reopened within several hours.
