| CP 7099 on a transfer job from Sault Ste. Marie, MI to Sault Ste. Marie, ONT had pulled up to a red signal on the approach to the lift span over the Soo Locks. Trains delayed here back in the seventies were "boated"...the locks are a busy waterway with the iron ore/coal/grain boats passing through very often. This delay is going to be rather lengthy and the crew has taken the opportunity to head for burgers, fries and shakes at the West Pier Drive In located just a bit behind where I was standing when I shot the photo. |
