Amtrak's Auto Train crosses the still waters of Quantico Creek on the first day of VRE service to Fredericksburg. The combination of commuter trains and a single track bridge created a pinch point that was rectified years later when another bridge was built next to this one.
With Northeast Regional trains, Auto Train and long distance service to Florida, New Orleans and Chicago, a lot of train riding and train watching can be had.
