| Conrail ME-2 makes a quick run from the National Can lead in Edison to COUNTY interlocking in New Brunswick where they will get in the clear on the Millstone Running Track. The consist on this sunny Presidents' Day afternoon includes NS 5269 & NS 5298, both ex-Conrail GP38-2s, leading four cars and the usual blue (ex-Reading) Conrail extended-vision caboose. This Metuchen-based local can be found serving whatever local industry remains along Amtrak's Northeast Corridor between Metuchen and Deans, NJ (near MIDWAY interlocking). |
