On President’s Day 2013, a slew (that’s a lot, right?) of locomotives populate the tracks of Union Pacific’s North Yard in Denver, Colorado. On the right, the South Local is powered by former Rio Grande GP40-2 No. 1363 (formerly 3111), while one track over, UPY No. Y613 switches the yard. I lost count at over fifty locomotives… including at least two former Southern Pacific and one former Chicago and North Western AC4400CW.
