Highball Highlands! A westbound Burlington Northern intermodal train flies through Highlands, Illinois, on April 18, 1987. Leading the train is GP50 No. 3161, followed by a fuel tender, a GE B30-7AB and another GP50. BN 3161 has an extended cab to house room for more crew members, since this was the era of trains going cabooseless. Five tiger-striped BN GP50s (3158-3162) were outfitted with this custom cab.
