We are standing on the access road just west of Randolph Tunnel near Doe Gully, WV. Back in an oppressively hot July, eastbound No. 376 encountered a sun kink just west of Randolph Tunnel. The head end made it over the defect without derailing, however back in the train things didn't go as well. The result was a pileup of some twenty odd cars. Most were loaded with appliances. Several months later the contents have been removed and some of the cars shoved down beside the access road awaiting the scrapper's torch.
