With an abbreviated Labor Day '87 consist, Rio Grande's Railblazer train #102 rolls east through summertime sunflowers near the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon. The D&RGW protected this 14 hour Salt Lake City to Denver service on legal holidays, even when the company lost money on the trip.
