      A spotlight of sun shines brightly where it needs to be as Southern Pacific coal train with four AC4400CWs gets recrewed at Minturn, Colorado, on September 5, 1995. SP’s ACs were only a few months old at this point, as locomotives are moved into position to be used as two sets of three AC4400CWs, that will be cut into the train as manned helpers to the top of Tennessee Pass. Several more SP ACs lurk in the shadows in the background, while on the left is a silver Rio Grande flat loaded with track panels. The rails look like they have seen a lot of tonnage, but soon enough it won’t matter anymore…
