Can it really be April already? The first of this year's 'Yorkshire Coast Express' trains strides away from Castleford behind immaculately groomed '8F' No. 48151. I can assure those who did not know these fine locomotives 'back in the day' that they NEVER looked like this in service. You'd be lucky if the cab-side number was visible under layers of grime! The train was absolutely packed with day-trippers presumably glad to see some fine early Spring weather at long last.
