| On a sunny Autumn morning, the Sydney to Melbourne XPT is seen departing Yass Junction, about a third of the way into its ~11 hour interstate journey. Yass Junction is a couple of kilometres from the township of Yass, which used to be served by a short branch line. Today the buildings are maintained in a heritage condition. |
