Freeze Frame! Acela Express # 2013 is seen here captured during a series of high speed test runs at 12:27 AM, on a Thursday morning. This was the Holy Grail shot that I thought I'd never be able to pull off and the first and only shot to actually freeze the train in motion. How on Earth? To my surprise the engineer brought the Acela to a momentary stop lasting but a few seconds during a brake test. I had to move my camera and tripod, recompose - level the shot, lol - and change the camera settings quickly! I was able to fire off two shots with the train already in motion by the second shot.
