Rio Grande lumber drag 126 climbs through Detour in Spanish Fork Canyon on March 20, 1988. US Highway 6 follows the path of Soldier Creek near the old Tucker rest stop. The highway was relocated here a few years ago bypassing a pair of 40 mph curves. The original highway location was built on top of an old abandoned D&RGW right of way after the 'Detour' realignment was moved to the hillside early in the 20th century.
