It's officially spring but there is still plenty of ice in the harbor as Minnesota experiences a colder than normal spring. The shipping season is well underway though as two ships and one train are moving/loading taconite at CN Dock 6. The Proctor Road Switch moves empties and loads on top of the dock as the 1000 foot Mesabi Miner and the 767 foot Arthur M. Anderson take on taconite pellets.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
