As part of the continuing London Underground 150 celebrations a series of special steam services returned to the Metropolitan line during the late May bank holiday weekend 2013. In preparation for the event class 20227 (specially painted into modern London Underground colours) leads classmate 20142 and steam locomotives 9466 (GWR Pannier) and L150 (GWR Prarie 5521) though the art-deco station at Eastcote.
