Freight along the Humbolt An eastbound Union Pacific freight traverses Palisade Canyon, Nevada, on Track 2. Both Southern Pacific and Western Pacific built their main lines through here alongside the Humbolt River. Now of course, UP owns them both and uses each directionally, giving it a double-track route through this rugged landscape. That trailing Canadian Pacific locomotive is just a bit out of place geographically!
