A Los Angeles-bound Metrolink train passes by a memorial set up in honor of 60-year-old Michael Rodriguez, who was struck by a Metrolink train at this crossing on June 4. According to news reports, Mr. Rodriguez's death was ruled accidental and there were ear buds found at the scene (although it is unknown if he was using them at the time he was killed). In a small town like Claremont that has not had a pedestrian struck by a train in many years, this is quite a shock. RIP Mr. Rodriguez.
