Norfolk Southern's Virginian heritage unit eases over US-58 Alternate at St. Paul, Virginia. The Virginian Railway was located in Virginia and West Virginia where it mainly hauled coal from the coalfields to the tidewater of Virginia. The Virginian Railway merged into the Norfolk & Western in 1959.
