| The infant River Aire rolls along lazily in the meadows below the sweeping curves at Coniston Cold between Gargrave and Hellifield. 'Scots Guardsman' rushes by heading for the water stop at Hellifield a few miles along the valley. For once, the locomotive, location and headboard are in harmony! There is a prize on offer for the first person to suggest how those dreadful communication towers can be more fittingly blended into this beautiful landscape! |
