| Lots of railroad 'flavor' had disappeared by the 1980s, but there was plenty more to be lost in the following years. A glimpse of the UP yard in Salina - an important intermediate spot on the Kansas Pacific - shows a wood scale house, SD40-2s (UP and NS) as first line power, and a string of MP cabooses waiting to head out on Salina-area locals.. |
