| At this time a spur of the old main was still in place and trains typically made a stub end meet by running down that spur and getting out of the way while another train negotiated the one-of-a-kind Hagens switchback. Here a NB is backing off the old main after a meet and will head down the switchback. CSX has removed the old main line spur so a meet of two full sized trains in no longer possible here. But they did extend the tail track so the train no long has to split in two to get thru the wye. Not too little but too late. |
