Happiness is finding a new Western Pacific GP40-2 in your hometown! The 3554 was built new by EMD for the WP in April 1980, from the carrier's final batch of new locomotives prior to merging with the UP in 1983. The little EMD can be found working on the Union Pacific even today, after being renumbered multiple times (UP 909, UP 2911, UP 5318) now identified as the UP 9986.
