| Barely a month old, a pair of Clinchfield GP38-2's sit in the L&N yard in Chicago as they await to be delivered to the southern coal fields to begin their work. These would be the last 4 axle units delivered to the Clinchfield. 35mm slide from my collection, photo by P.D. Schnieder. |
