September 2013 marks the 50th Anniversary of operations at Lamberts Point Pier 6 in Norfolk, VA. To mark the occasion, NS applied a special paint scheme to coal hopper number 146313. The car was rebuilt using the frame of a retired hopper at Freight Car America's shop in Roanoke, VA, in August, and made its debut today at Lamberts Point. Photo by Casey Thomason.
