| Lackawanna heritage unit 1074 visited home rails for the first time on September 18, 2013. Here we see it crossing the Rockaway River Bridge at Chester Junction as it ducked into the clear to permit NJT officials to measure the unit for height and width. It continued to Dover for the night, and on Thursday plans are for it to run to Boonton with Tri-State Chatper NRHS's Lackawanna caboose 896 so both can participate in Sunday's URHS open house. H-02's engineer John Sobotka had a lot to do with orchestrating the heritage engine and the special operations surrounding it. |
