| NJ Transit train 5438 is pushing past the site of the former joint Central Railroad of New Jersey/ Staten Island Railroad freight yard in Cranford. Today's train has an odd lashup of a GE P40DC and an Alstom PL42AC. Changing traffic patterns made the yard surplus over three decades ago. Construction has begun on redeveloping the yard into an apartment complex. |
