| A very picturesque tramway: The Riffelalptram is the highest tramway in Europe. Length 675m, gauge 800mm, maximum speed 10 km/h, the power comes from a accumulator. This tram runs between the railwaystation Riffelalp from the Gornergratbahn to the Hotel Riffelalp (2222 meters over sealevel, in the background) for their guests and the tourists.
