| Several EMDs sit in the Pan Am Yard in Rotterdam Junction, NY idling the afternoon away while they wait for their next assignment. MEC 601 was originally built as a SD45 in 1969 for the CNW as engine 939. It then went to KCS and finally wound up in the hands of Pan Am. It is classified as a SD40-3 as it was rebuilt. |
