| Late on a warm July evening Soo GP9 2400 works its way west with 41 cars over the jointed 80lbs steel of the Ex DSS&A line to Marquette. A single GP working this line wasn't very common. It will be a long time waiting for a rescue out in the sparsely populated area this line traverses on its way from Trout Lake to Marquette in the event of a unit failure. The big white gons tucked in behind the power are bound for pulpwood loading in Newberry. |
