It's tough finding a unique shot at planned photo excursions, but they can be found if you're willing to work for it. While everyone else piled up trackside for pics of 7470 coming down to pick up the days consist, I trudged through some waist deep drifts and found my own stairway to heaven... The steps to the elevated patio of the Conway Country Club, a spot I would have all to myself. Once the engine cleared the herd I was able to snap away at a beautiful engine, in equally gorgeous scenery, with no photo line or others to worry about. Yes, it was worth the effort.
